Cecilia Garcia Argentinian Ambassador – Chevere Latino YYC
Cecilia is originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina. With a bachelor’s degree in Geology and a master’s degree in Petrophysics and Operational Geology she has worked for more than 10 years at the Argentinian Oil and Gas industry. Having worked at Patagonia Oil fields in the reservoir team as a geologist, she soon became the Project Leader of the Reservoir Operations Team, leading a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and geologists into the daily operations tasks. After a couple of years of being a team leader Cecilia was given the opportunity to work as a Project leader and coordinator. Working on projects, Cecilia became passionate about Project Management. She realized she had the skills that made her successful in her projects such as communication, time management, organizational awareness, problem solving among others. She decided to make a career change and took the Project Management Certification (PMP) in 2020. She has continued improving her Project management skills and has taken many courses and certifications such as (PMI-ACP) agile project management practitioner, (SM) scrum master, (PO) product owner and (LSSBB) lean six sigma black belt. She moved with her family, husband, and 3-years old twins to Canada in 2021, to study Business Administration at SAIT. Currently, she works in Calgary, for Tango Networks Inc, a PM consulting company, as a Project Manager for ENMAX Telecom Projects and she is about to complete her studies at SAIT. Cecilia’s Argentinian roots are strong, she tries to maintain her Argentinian traditions alive, and her children speaks fluent Spanish and English. She provides her Argentinian experience and knowledge as an ambassador for her country for Chevere Latino.
